Construction is well under way at our new 60,000 sq ft heavy machining and nuclear fabrication facility in Blackburn, as part of our ongoing expansion and £10m investment. We are creating the largest subcontract machining facility in Europe to support key sectors such as nuclear, defence, offshore, and general engineering. We have equipped the facility with six large CNC machining centres capable of handling components up to 30 metres in length and 5 metres in diameter, significantly enhancing our existing capabilities. We are creating 60 new jobs with this investment, which includes ten additional machining apprentices, to strengthen the local workforce.
