The Group's Apprentice of the Year Awards was held on Thursday 16th September at Astley Bank, Darwen. The evening is an annual event held to celebrate the success of all our students throughout their time on the apprenticeship including Apprentice of the Year and various other awards for achievement.

Ryan Nelsen, Defender for Blackburn Rovers and New Zealand International, presented our students with their awards. Winner of Apprentice of the Year 2010 was AMIR KHAN.

Amongst the awards handed out on the evening were the Commitment Award, Outstanding Achievement Award and Welding Excellence Award. David Cleghorn, Chairman of the AWFTE, kindly gave the main speech focused on the Skills Olympics and the importance of apprenticeship schemes.
