The new partnership deal with WEC Group allows Rotherham based MTL Group, now trading as MTL Advanced, to move forward after entering administration in early February.
The addition of MTL to our ranks has more than doubled our engineering capacity and the Company we now have over 600 staff working across Lancashire, Yorkshire and Merseyside.
The new partnership means we can now offer large profiling with bevel cutting facility, Hi-Def plasma cutting and large tube cutting. With 18 laser cutting machines available, we are now one of the largest laser cutting operations in the UK.
Wayne Wild, commercial director of WEC Group, said: "We are delighted to have reached an agreement which will save the jobs of more than 130 workers in South Yorkshire. MTL Group has a great track record, working with big name companies and has an impressive order book, despite the problems it has had."
MTL Group's manufacturing facility also includes Hi-Def plasma cutting, waterjet cutting, gas profile cutting, robotic plasma tube cutting and robotic bending. It also carries out CNC machining, fabrication with robotics, and has semi-automated and manual welding stations.
The contract manufacturing specialist is capable of handling all sizes and types of work from carbon steel to aluminium and it works in a range of sectors including defence and security, construction and quarrying, offshore and renewable energy, recycling and rail.
