WEC Machining are continuing to invest in the latest machining technology and have purchased yet another Miyano Multi Axis Lathe

We are pleased to announce that WEC Machining have acquired a third state-of-the-art Citizen Miyano ABX64 Multi Axis Lathe. We have invested heavily in the latest machining technology over the past 12 months, having purchased our second Miyano in June 2020.

This latest addition to our machining line-up will work in tandem with our two existing Miyano ABX64's as well as our two other Citizen lathes. This will allow us to continue providing high volumes of small turned parts of up to 80mm diameter with the most competitive lead times in the country, adding value to our customers supply chain.

The is a welcome increase from the traditional 65mm bar feed sported by the majority of existing multi axis lathes within the machining industry and this will enable us to offer great cost savings on larger diameter high volume turned parts.

Continuing to invest in state-of-the-art machinery to increase capacity has played a key role in our ongoing success and growth. Furthermore, we have recently introduced a new 24/7 shift pattern to cater for Urgent Requirements of milled and turned parts, with an express weekend manufacturing service.

Steve Fitzpatrick, Chief Executive Officer of WEC Machining said: "The arrival of this new investment has coincided perfectly with the introduction of our new 24/7 shift pattern and express weekend delivery service. The new service will mean that urgent batches of parts can be ordered on the Friday to be dispatched the following Monday, drastically reducing lead times for our customers.”

"We continuously strive to add value to our customers Supply Chains and and providing a high quality manufacturing service on short lead times has been key to our growth over the past few years."

WEC Machining are also accredited to AS 9100 Rev C for CNC and conventional machining, turning and milling, as well as BS EN ISO 9001:2015 standards. Last week, we achieved accreditation to ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Standards following 12 months of continuous improvement across our manufacturing systems and rigorous audit. Full compliance to these standards allows us to provide high quality services for customers within the aviation, aerospace, defence, nuclear and oil & gas industries.

Mr Fitzpatrick added: "It is important to us and our customers that we comply with and exceed the necessary standards called for by our blue-chip OEM customer base."
